Origami Paper Heart

Okay so I didn't have any origami paper so I used colored computer paper.

1.) Bring the edges of the paper together in the center of the sheet, and make crisp fold fold lines on both edges. ( I used a plastic letter opener and ran it over all the fold lines)

I hope these pictures help

2.) Next cut the top edge off as shown

Now you have the shape you need

3.) Flip the triangle over. Place your finger on the upper edge to keep the opposite edge from moving.
Now start to move the outside edge toward the center, the point will end up where my finger is holding the paper. (Look at the next few pictures to see what I mean)

You should end up with a square

4.) Do the same with the other side.

5.) Next without flipping fold the inside point down. (the tip should come in contact with bottom of the square.)

Sorry about the fuzzy.

6.) Okay we are almost finished.
Fold the two edges in like it was show in the beginning. (Use the pictures as a guide)

7.) Last two folds, now dog ear the tips.
Remember the crisper the folds the better the shape and the hold.

8.) Now flip it over and make your heart smile!! :)

Enjoy.

Tough week!!!!

Good Morning to all.

Boy have we had a tough week here at 112th street.
Mr. F's shop moved into it's new building on
Saturday. So Monday was the official 1st day in this
beautiful new shop. You would think that would be
great, seeings how they have been getting ready for
the move for about a year. Well need less to say things
didn't, and aren't going as well as everyone was hoping.
So we are extremely excited for the weekend, to have
a little recoup time.

So this morning I wanted to do something that would
cheer everyone up and start the weekend off right.
This is what I came up with.........

The best part is that it didn't cost a thing. I truly
believe these little paper hearts will not only convey
my message, they will put a smile in their hearts
upon sight :) and that will put a smile in mine.
I am off to make some little ones to place in
drawers, cupboards, and anywhere I believe they
will be stumbled upon.
Now one more thing before I go I have this
one for you!!

I hope you all have a great weekend and you start it
with a smile in your heart.

P.S. Later today I will post a little tutorial on how to fold
these hearts.

What is it? Big reveal!!!

Hello, I hope this day finds everyone well.

Today is the day to reveal what I made.....

Can you believe it's December 1st already?

Okay, Okay, lets get started............................

1.) First I gathered my supplies,

Along with my pattern that I found in the current issue of Crochet Today Magazine

2.)  Second, I stitched,....... and I stitched,......... and I stitched, then I weaved in all of
the ends.(which means I stitched)
Then I stuffed,.... and  Okay, Okay, you get the picture.

And this is what it turned into.......

The Cutest Choo-Choo EVER!!!!

I just loved this pattern from the time I picked up the magazine, I made a few of the
other project, (and learned a big lesson in checking your gauge before starting the project again.).
Anyways, I have a few more projects to finish up so for now I will bid you ... Farewell and happy hooking.

Still Learning :)

Good morning

I just wanted to let everyone know that I appreciate all of your support and visits to my site.
Some of you have left comments on the What is it page, but for some reason it is not showing up.
I will do some research and try to find out what I need to do to fix it.

Thank You all for your patience

So What is it?

I have been working on Christmas gifts, and would like to show you one that I have just finished for my grandson. There were so many pieces to it I thought we could play a game of ...

                                            What is it?

51 pieces later

Having a few technical problems with picture placement, promise to work on that.

So can you guess what I am about to create? Leave a comment on what you think it might be!!!
I will show it completed in my next post.

From  At 112th Street  I hope you have a great day.

My very first posting

Well I am very excited about my newest adventure!! I have been encouraged by many of  you ( family and friends ) to start a blog or a website to show/sell some of the thing that I make. This is my first step along the way.

To show my current projects and to explain in tutorials how you can easily do the same.
I hope to meet new friend on my journey and reconnect with old friends and family.

I have many great ideas for my blog, and I believe with a little patience and some reader interaction "At 112th Street" will be ever evolving.

So with that said I will excuse myself to start working on my next post.
