Daffodil Parade and a Contest Winner

So much fun, I love parades. The colors, the noise, children's excitement all fill the air. And there was no exception to this years  Daffodil Parade. OK, OK, there was one very exciting exception, and that was that one of my little misses was a participant in this years parade. whoopee.

The Fire Department had a contest at all the local elementary schools. They were all challenged to make a home fire escape plan and turn it into a poster, and one child from every school would be chosen to win. The prizes were:
  • To ride on the fire truck in the Daffodil Parade
  • Have their escape poster hung at the Spring Fair
  • A Great Escape Tee Shirt
  • 3 free Spring Fair Admission Tickets
She was soooo excited and all she could talk about for a week was that she was going to be riding in a Fire Truck at the Daffodil Parade, it was so cute. ( Maybe she found her calling?)

So without further ado.... Here are some of our local winners and a few pics of our local parade.
